Dr. Del Valle Serrano, known as Dr. Serrano, opened Health By Serrano M.D. in March of this year in Gainesville, Florida for reasons many physicians decide to take the jump into Direct Primary Care.

I was tired of feeling I wasn’t spending quality time with my patients. I call the FFS the Fast Food Medical Services. I was feeling stressed, overwhelmed, depressed and very very unhappy. One day I quit without knowing how to start my DPC practice. Five month later I opened doors. Today I feel joy, real joy only compared to when you bring a baby to this world. That type of joy.

Dr. Karymar del Valle Serrano is a Primary Care Physician who has been practicing for fifteen (15) years. She moved to Gainesville, Florida, nine years ago, where she’s been working in underserved areas as a primary care physician and performing minor surgical procedures. Dr. Serrano’s vision to start her own practice was driven by her desire to spend more time with her patients. This is why Direct Primary Care is the perfect model; her time is not limited or dictated by insurance companies. She is passionate about advocating for her patients and believes the best healthcare starts with education and prevention. 

Dr. Serrano is married to Dr. Pedro J. De León Reyes and is the mother of two beautiful children. The family loves to spend time together and is passionate about music and pets. They also hold strong Christian values and live by the gospel.
