The Aha! Connection, a blog post that reports on the happenings of Dunwoody, GA recently announced that the opening of Dunwoody DPC will take place on July 11. Dr. Casey Locarini, Dr. Loc, and his wife Roxanne opened an urgent care center in Dunwoody 17 years ago, which will still remain open, but now Dr. Loc will be realizing his dream by opening Dunwoody DPC right next door. Dr. Loc decided to make the transition because of changes to the field of Medicine, and to have the opportunity to devote even more time and attention to the care of his patients.

Casey was heavily influenced by the example of his father, a beloved small-town doctor in rural California, who taught Casey that spending time with his patients, being attentive, and really listening are essential to being a great physician.

Before starting Dunwoody DPC, Casey spent 4 years as a Naval Flight Surgeon and finished his 10 year Navy career as head of Emergency Medicine at Naval Hospital, 29 Palms, California, home of Marine Corps Desert Warfare training. Locarini then transitioned to the world of civilian medicine, working the next four years in both Urgent Care and Emergency Medicine in the Atlanta Metro and Savannah/Fort Stewart areas. In 2005, Casey decided to open Dunwoody Urgent Care, the first walk-in urgent care clinic in the perimeter area.  He has spent the last 17 years dedicating himself, full time, to the health and well-being of the Dunwoody area residents and visitors.

Casey lives in Dunwoody with his lovely wife of nearly 30 years, Roxanne.  They are proud parents to 3 grown children (Talia, Anna and Aidan) and their dog, Jackson.  Casey loves to spend time with his (large) family and friends, play guitar, listen to music, read, travel, and enjoy outdoor activities.
