Arun Bansal, MD aims to change the healthcare model by giving the power of healthcare back to the patients, calling it Empowered Primary Care. Imagine feeling like a person that matters and not a number, imagine texting your doctor and receiving a response from your doctor and not a call center, imagine having a medical need at any hour and getting on a video visit, imagine no/little office wait time and even being able to see your doctor the same day or next day for acute concerns. This is what Dr. Bansal has created at Trust MD in January of this year after working at a large hospital system and believing there had to be a better way to care for patients.

I started DPC after nearly five years of working for a large hospital system and slowly starting to realize the power of healthcare was given to the wrong people. To the people that will never interact with a patient, or never understand the hoops/wait times/surprise billing that is associated with seeing their doctor. Once I heard and looked into DPC I realized it removed the power from insurance and large instutions and gave it back to the patients. The ability for patients and physicians to take lead in their own healthcare is what I truly desire and feel that patients do as well.

He is married to his wife of one year. They enjoy traveling and staying active a long with spending time chasing their five-year-old Yorkie around town.
