Outlaw Medical was founded by a Weleetka Outlaw graduate, Dr. Burden-Greer. Growing up in rural Oklahoma, she saw the desperate need for medical access, especially for those who may not be able to take a day off from their work schedule to focus on their own health. Knowing the need for real medical access Dr. Burden-Greer decided to embrace her Outlaw ways by becoming an Outlaw against the medical industrial complex. Using the Direct Primary Care (DPC) model, she is putting medical care back between the patient and the doctor.

I always dreamed of being the small town country doc that could get to know my patients and their families and take care of them in the way they need. Unfortunately, I had to leave my first clinical job because the administration was forcing me to have 5 minute appointment times. I just couldn’t ethically care for patients in that model. With DPC I can spend as much time with my patients as they need and deserve! Most visits are between 30 and 90 minutes.

Katie Burden-Greer, MD is double Board Certified in both Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine. After completing her Bachelor’s Degree at East Central University, she earned her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma in 2011. She completed her residency at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL where she trained to care for patients of all ages and backgrounds. Dr. Burden-Greer has extensive experience in caring for patients across many different settings. She has worked in emergency departments, clinics, and was the Chief of Inpatient Medicine at Chickasaw Nation through the COVID-19 pandemic managing patients in the acute care floor and ICU.

When not taking care of patients, Dr. Burden-Greer can be found spending time with family and friends. She enjoys being Aunt K. K. to her MANY nieces and nephews. She and her husband also have an adventurous spirit and enjoy being outdoors, gardening, floristry, traveling, scuba diving, and taking care of their cattle and bison ranch.
