MamaDoc New Jersey, a DPC pediatric practice, has opened and is now providing care to children and adolescents in the Shrewsbury, NJ area. Dr. Christina Piron began her professional career in New Orleans at a FQHC before feeling that the traditional model of practicing medicine was not working for her or her patients.

Over the past few years I found myself increasingly frustrated and burnt out in the more traditional models of care. I had lost my joy and passion for medicine and missed making real connections with patients and their parents. There was no time to make connections or to stop and answer questions because the “system” wanted me to just see as many people as possible regardless of need or complexity. I’ve opened my DPC practice in hopes to reclaim my passion for patient care, find balance in life, and practice in a way that I feel will create better experiences and outcomes for my patients and also for myself.

She and her husband, Tyler, met while living in New Orleans and then decided to move back to the Jersey Shore where Tyler grew up.  They now live in Little Silver, NJ, with their two children and dog, Zuzu.

When not providing exceptional medical care to her patients, Dr. Piron also enjoys spending time with her family, running, reading, and baking.
