A recent article and podcast by The Heartland Institute highlighted how the town of Newaygo, MI took matters into their own hands after big hospital healthcare systems had left their town, forcing residents in this small rural town had to drive sometimes over an hour to get basic primary care service.

Newaygo community leaders reached out to Christian Healthcare Centers to see if they would open a facility in their town. Christian Healthcare Centers and the town came together, and on May 10, 2020. they celebrated the opening of a 8,150 square foot facility. CHC also has a location in Grand Rapids, MI.

Christian Healthcare Centers came into existence in 2015 to provide a different approach to healthcare for both doctors and their patients.

As a faith-based, not-for-profit organization operating independently from the constraints associated with traditional insurance reimbursement, CHC is free to focus exclusively on patients and their wellness–physically, spiritually, emotionally and relationally.

Way to go Newaygo for finding a solution to the healthcare shortage in your town. DPC News would love to hear updates about how Christian Healthcare Centers are providing direct primary care on a large scale.
