Did you know that the month of December can be one of the most profitable, and enjoyable months in practice?

In fact, my long-term private consulting clients have used these very basic strategies for many years–which have historically produced phenomenal results over the next four weeks.

Despite the pending holiday season, December can be one of the best months of the entire year–not only for patient volume but also for new patient enrollments.

When done right, December momentum and the accompanying new patients and goodwill can lead you well on the way to building a phenomenal New Year.

I advocate low-cost strategies built around your practice community and demographics. They are extremely effective at getting your existing patients excited, as well as driving new and former patients back to the office during what many consider a difficult time of year to practice.

Some of the most effective strategies have been holiday newsletters we tweak every year. We also decorate the office extensively. In years past I’ve actually dressed up with an associate as Santa Claus and my staff as Elves!

One of the biggest things these inexpensive and fun marketing project does however is to pull the entire team together help staff focus more on the office while they are in the office it’s simultaneously giving them something really fun rather than holiday dread.

Don’t overlook how simple and powerful these simple things can be. Gather with your team, decide what you find the most fun during the holiday season and build it out now, just be sure you launch it completely by Monday of next week.
