Daniel Moore, MD operates RevMed in Richmond, VA. The name RevMed refers to “moving forward, yet also turning back the wheel to the ways things used to be in medicine.” This, of course, sums up DPC perfectly in that DPC embraces all the new technology to serve patients yet at its core is the doctor-patient relationship.

As a young man, Dan worked for a physician who was frustrated with obstacles and expense in primary care. After learning first-hand how powerful a good doctor-patient relationship can be, Dan knew what he had to do. More than a decade, two degrees, a marriage and a daughter later, Dr. Moore was ready to join the direct primary care revolution.

Dr. Dan is the solo practitioner at RevMed, but like many DPC practices, his wife, Phuong Mach, is an integral part of the office serving as the practice manager.

The role of partner to a physician is a hard one. The role of a DPC partner is harder still. Hardest of all is being a mom. Phuong not only survives in her role, she thrives. You may see her in the office, or hear her on the phone. Her background includes the School of Allied Health at VCU/MCV.

To learn more about RevMed and to see how to do a great interview to get publicity for your own practice, check out this segment Dr. Dan did with Channel 6 News Virginia This Morning. If you look watch closely, you will even catch a sighting of The DPC Doctor’s Daily Motivational Journal on Dr. Dan’s desk…and it wasn’t even a paid product placement!
