I have been retired for over three years now. That being said, I still love Direct Primary Care. In my opinion, it is the last beacon of hope for primary care and maybe medicine. This weekend in Greenville, SC was really awesome. There were 22 doctors there, many with their significant others. But here is the best part. Over a dozen experienced DPC docs were volunteering to teach and help out. How is that for a mentor/student ratio?

What does this say about DPC? I think it is an example of how altruistic these doctors are. They are all paying it forward for free. They know they were helped and now they want to help others…..for free.

The information is out there for prospective DPC docs. The DPC Mastermind and Summit are great. There is the DPC University. There are plenty of books. All this will help you but I think the advice and mentorship of the doctors like the ones who volunteered this weekend is what makes me the most proud.

If you are a DPC doctor who has benefitted from the help of others please consider giving your time to the future generations as well. And please try to do it for free.
