I can not tell you how amazing this DPC Summit will be. Ok, I can and I will. The quality and diversity of the speakers will blow you away. The topics hit EVERY level. If you are thinking about DPC then this conference has it. If you are just starting out then there are topics for you. If you are an experienced DPC then there is even a ton of stuff for you. Vance Lassey, MD and Shane Purcell, MD worked their butts off to do this right. This is 99% the work of the DPC Alliance which organized the speakers. Do not miss this!

You can download the full schedule here:

Take a look at these lectures. They cover everything! And you can still register HERE.

I am asking as many lecturers as possible to put some more detailed notes about their talks in the comments below so people can decide which ones they want to see. Here are my highlights for Sunday at 11:00 AM:

Keeping Motivation While Navigating the DPC Maze

  1. There are very few actions that you can make in life where you can bring back time into your life.  Why DPC is of one of them.
  2. You have to enter the maze to finish the maze. >70% of docs are employed in this country.  Working for the man is your choice. You will have to DECIDE to enter the DPC maze from this terrible system before you can get your life and time back.
  3. Wrong Turns, Hurdles, and Trap Doors – These are some of the things you need to know when going through the DPC Maze.
    • Simple, Fresh Ingredients
    • One trap is Not Doing Enough Legwork on Your Own
    • Listening to the Wrong People
    • Paying too Much
    • Taking Shortcuts (Having a crappy product)
    • Working for a DPC corporation
    • Not valuing yourself
    • Losing yourself to medicine
    • Reading your reviews
    • Taking Things for Granted
  4. Keeping Your Sanity Strategies:  Many doctors think that DPC will be roses and rainbows.  There are many great things about DPC but without arming yourself with certain techniques you may not be successful.  I will show why determination, patience, and grit are critical to surviving and thriving in the DPC maze.
    • Other things come first
    • Connect with DPC Peers
    • Don’t Compare
    • Be patient and Tolerant
    • Be Grateful
    • Let Things Go
    • Use Your Time
    • The Four Agreements of DPC
      • Keep your word – Impeccable
      • Do the best you can
      • Don’t take anything personally
      • Don’t Assume
  5. Your Real Motivation
    • Three questions to see what motivates you as a doctor

HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!

  1. My talk will be amazing. Well, probably. I haven’t written it yet. I’m mostly going to be welcoming everybody, giving a BRIEF preview of the Summit and explaining what’s different this year, and then I’ll launch into a phenomenal and brilliant discussion of what DPC is and how it is fixing healthcare for hundreds of thousands of patients and doctors. My goal this year is not to tell docs how to do it or motivate them to do so (leaving the motivational stuff to Dr. Farrago), but to explain why they should. I’m calling my talk “Everybody wins” which is my clinic’s slogan/tagline, and a philosophy of much of what I do in life.
