Peach Blossom: Providing Direct Primary Care in Delaware

Before opening Peach Blossom Direct Primary Care, Dr. Rabia Qureshi, a double board-certified physician in Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine, practiced for over thirteen years in both hospital and outpatient settings. While she valued her experience with her patients in these settings, something was missing.
I started Peach Blossom Direct Primary Care because I wanted to bring the focus back to what truly matters in medicine: building meaningful relationships with patients. I can now take the time to listen, understand my patients’ unique needs, and provide care that’s accessible, affordable, and truly personal.
If she had to describe herself in one word, it would be “relatable.” She strives to create a comfortable environment for her patients, building trust as she guides their health and support their families. Opening Peach Blossom Doc, has allowed her the opportunity to do just that.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Qureshi enjoys spending quality time with her family, cooking, doing DIY projects, and planning and hosting parties and events. These moments keep her grounded and fuel her creativity — both at home and in my work.

Obesity medicine? Too bad Redux was a bust as it was the only thing that got patients to lose weight when I practiced. I saw tremendous weight loss in patients that needed it. Would have put the “fat pass” surgeons out of business if it didn’t have the adverse effects that got it pulled out of the market. Oh man, I saw people losing weight right and left who couldn’t do it on their own for years. Cripes, if it hadn’t had the bad side effects to it, it would be generic by now and everyone in the country would be at ideal body weight. I think and correct me if I’m wrong, the GLP-1 inhibitors are touted for weight loss. Yeah people lose weight because if they buy the drug they won’t have money leftover to buy food for crying out loud! There is nothing like Redux as it just shut off the appetite period. Too bad there were side effects that got it pulled over time. I regret it went away but I realized it was harming patients and had to be pulled.
I didn’t have any patients that had problems with it. I had some morbidly obese that got down to ideal body weight on the med alone and medically certified they needed the excess skin removed later. The plastic surgeons loved the business but also liked that the leftover skin could be used temporarily to graft for burn victims. The xenographic skin would slough after a couple of weeks but allowed time and protection for healing in the burn patient. Some burn victims didn’t have enough “good” skin for grafting. A lot of fat pass obese patients had a lot of skin to donate too after they got the weight off! I really regret that Redux thing didn’t turn out well as it worked. Too bad it had side-effects.
