MedLogic: Offering DPC and More in Two Locations

MedLogic is a DPC practice with one location in Libertyville, IL and another location about 45 minutes away in Kenosha, WI. Jill Green, MD, the founder, is a board-certified family physician who also offers an Integrative Primary Care and Functional Longevity Program. Like many physicians, Dr. Green was looking for a better way to serve her patients.
I opened my practice to make access to care and price transparency a core value in health care. DPC just does healthcare better. It’s a win win.
Working alongside Dr. Green are Lauren Towle, MD, a Functional Medicine Physician who focuses on guided lifestyle reset & root-cause healing and Jennifer Ron, MD, an Integrative Oncology Care Physician who specializes in cancer support & integrative medicine. Rounding out the team are Michele Frese, NP and Laura Torres, Executive Practice Manager.
To meet the individual needs of their patients, MedLogic offers three different pricing packages: Primary Care Membership Pricing, Functional Membership Pricing and Integrative Oncology Pricing.

You gotta remember. Both those locations above will work with DPC because there are many folks that can afford it. Go to an area with a high Public Aid percentage and one will lose their shirt. PERIOD!! Going DPC and one has to choose their geographic area very carefully or will go bankrupt!! I retired practicing from the “old” system in a group practice and I was paid fairly so I don’t have a beef. DPC wouldn’t work where I practiced then nor now. Too many people wanted services for as “free” as possible and many employers offered medical coverage that covered office visits. With a co-pay of course.
My view is DPC will only work in areas with moderate income families and the novelty will “wear off” over time. Especially if the breadwinner gets a job that has medical insurance. Sure if the job insurance costs more than DPC, they’ll stick with the cheapest option but it turns a doc into a pseudo insurance company that has to keep track of payments. Sure I bet there is “specialized” software to do this stuff but one probably has to pay big $$$$$$$ to “rent” it.
Good concept in the areas that it might work in though. Again, if one sets up practice in the wrong place, they will go bankrupt.
