This is how a free market brings prices down

Imagine a world where prices were transparent? This listing from DeSoto Memorial Radiology is a prime example.
But I have insurance, you say?
Yes, but your bill may be higher if you use insurance. And here is a little secret – they want it that way. We all got excited when Good Rx came out and some meds were cheaper if you paid cash. Hooray!
Maybe.
Have you ever noticed that many medications are now cheaper when paid for in cash than with insurance? You think you are winning, but the insurance companies are laughing all the way to the bank. They’re not stupid. They just made sure you kept paying cash by covering less and less.
In other words, if they can get out of paying for things, they will.
And they will do it again once people start paying for diagnostic studies.
So, why do you need health insurance as it is now designed? You don’t.
What’s the answer?
DPC + HSA + CC* = Fixed Healthcare System.
* Catastrophic Coverage.

Very Nice! I love this discussion. Did you also know that DeSoto Memorial Hospital is one of Health Rosetta’s most high performing health plan case studies? Thanks to Carl Schuessler and his Fair Cost Health Plan. Here’s a little peek into how it worked — https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b26Ej9LWYHE&t=2s.
