Valuable, Relative, and Consistent Content

I found this article on marketing really informative. It is concentrated around content marketing:

Content marketing is a strategic marketing approach focused on creating AND distributing valuablerelevant and consistent content to attract and retain a clearly defined audience — and, ultimately, to drive consumer action.

In other words, you can put out content about:

  1. Direct Primary Care in general
  2. Your DPC practice
  3. Medical updates
  4. How DPC is better than the system
  5. Some personal info

The author of the article offers these questions to answer:

  1. What is your business working to achieve? What are its operational objectives?
  2. Who is the target audience? Clearly define and detail the audience.
  3. What does the audience want to know, learn, or do as it relates to what your business does? Narrow these topics into three broad categories.
  4. What content formats will you use? (blogs, social media, videos, etc.)
  5. Where will you distribute the content? How frequently can you commit to publishing it?
  6. What do you want the audience to do after consuming this content? These are your calls to action.
  7. What are your measurable goals? Identify metrics related to content, such as conversions to subscribers and web traffic. Sales are usually not as helpful as a direct metric because this is a long-term strategy.

Check out the article and take some time to really dig into this. It really is worth it.
