Valuable, Relative, and Consistent Content

I found this article on marketing really informative. It is concentrated around content marketing:
Content marketing is a strategic marketing approach focused on creating AND distributing valuable, relevant and consistent content to attract and retain a clearly defined audience — and, ultimately, to drive consumer action.
In other words, you can put out content about:
- Direct Primary Care in general
- Your DPC practice
- Medical updates
- How DPC is better than the system
- Some personal info
The author of the article offers these questions to answer:
- What is your business working to achieve? What are its operational objectives?
- Who is the target audience? Clearly define and detail the audience.
- What does the audience want to know, learn, or do as it relates to what your business does? Narrow these topics into three broad categories.
- What content formats will you use? (blogs, social media, videos, etc.)
- Where will you distribute the content? How frequently can you commit to publishing it?
- What do you want the audience to do after consuming this content? These are your calls to action.
- What are your measurable goals? Identify metrics related to content, such as conversions to subscribers and web traffic. Sales are usually not as helpful as a direct metric because this is a long-term strategy.
Check out the article and take some time to really dig into this. It really is worth it.
(The image has nothing to do with this post, but I couldn’t think of anything I liked, so there you have it. My money is on the cat).
