Health Suite 101 Provides Direct Primary Care in Overland, Kansas

KSHB 41 out of Kansas recently highlighted Health Suite 101 Direct Primary Care. Kylie Vannaman, MD opened Health Suiite 101 in 2015 in Overland Park, Kansas. She grew up in the Kansas City area and attended medical school and residency at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she served as chief resident. Dr. Vannaman loves being a family doc and has enjoyed practicing in a wide range of environments including: the Navajo Indian Reservation in New Mexico, a birthing center in rural Haiti and as a locum tenens doctor in New Zealand. She firmly believes in the transformative power of primary care and is grateful to be practicing meaningful medicine again by providing direct primary care to the community.
I quickly realized the only way to provide a good, quality, full spectrum care that family medicine doctors know how to do was to take full control of it. And that included the payment side too. Health insurance has its place. We just don’t think it’s in primary care because it’s affordable. If you take out all of the middle men and all those extra layers of bureaucracy, it doesn’t have to be expensive.
Since 2015, Health Suite 101 has continued to grow and now includes four other physicians, two RNs, one LPN and one MA.
In her spare time, Dr. Vannaman loves hiking, gardening and spending time with her husband and two children.

Thanks for writing about KSHB. I like that KSHB has added four physicians over the years. Curious if added as employees or partners. I am hoping to follow the model of adding physicians as partners.
I mean Health Suite 101 not KSHB
