Spring Highlights from the Direct Primary Care Alliance

The Direct Primary Care Alliance (DPCA) is here to support, connect, and elevate physicians at every stage of their DPC journey. Q1 has seen some big events for all levels of DPC physicians from seasoned to prospective.
Reflecting on the Costa Rica Retreat: Business Brilliance Meets Natural Beauty
Earlier this year, a group of DPC Alliance members gathered in stunning Costa Rica for an unforgettable retreat focused on advanced business strategy in DPC. Against a backdrop of lush rainforests and ocean breezes, participants engaged in deep-dive discussions, shared lessons from their practices, and explored what’s next for DPC innovation. And just as important, they recharged together.
DPC Masterminds in California: A Launchpad for Future Practice Owners
Meanwhile, in sunny California, Dr. Aimee Ostick led a recent DPC Mastermind designed for physicians preparing to launch their own practices. From crafting unique value propositions to navigating operational nuts and bolts, this hands-on experience offered personalized guidance in a collaborative, small-group environment. For those on the edge of making the leap into DPC, this kind of support can make all the difference.

DPC Masterminds: June 20–21 in Akron, Ohio
Led by Dr. Deanna Barry, a trailblazer in pediatric direct primary care, this focused event will offer practical guidance and personalized support for those building or growing pediatric DPC practices. Whether you’re already caring for kids in your practice or exploring a niche pediatric model, this mastermind is a unique chance to learn from an experienced mentor and connect with others navigating similar paths.
DPC Summit, July 24-27 in New Orleans
If you’re ready to plug into the heart of the movement, don’t miss the DPC Summit this summer in New Orleans from July 24-27. Co-hosted by the DPCA, this is the premier national gathering for DPC physicians, packed with actionable insights, peer learning, and an atmosphere unlike any other conference. Whether you’re a seasoned DPC doc or a curious med student, there’s something for everyone and plenty of time to connect, collaborate, and celebrate.
Medical students and residents: We have ample scholarship spots available right now. If you’re even thinking about a future in DPC, this is your chance to attend the Summit with support from the DPCA and AAFP. Sign up, show up, and get inspired.
The DPCA Social: A Saturday Night to Remember
Circle your calendar for Saturday night at the Summit, when the DPCA Social brings the community together for drinks, conversation, and maybe a little dancing. It’s the perfect chance to mingle with old friends, make new ones, and meet the mentors you didn’t know you needed. We’ll also be unveiling some hot-off-the-press insights from the DPCA “State of DPC Survey” during the social.
Now more than ever, DPC physicians are proving that community-driven, patient-first care isn’t just possible, it’s thriving. And the Direct Primary Care Alliance is here to keep pushing forward, together.
