Tom Brady’s message on how to be a successful DPC doctor

I have been a Patriot fan for decades. I love Tom Brady (GOAT) and Bill Belichick. We had some incredible years but that is over now. That being said, his Patriot jersey retirement speech was awesome and I think it relates to those thinking about doing DPC. Watch the video but this line stands out to me:

To be successful at anything, the truth is you don’t have to be special. You just have to be what most people aren’t.: consistent, determined, and willing to work for it. No shortcuts!

Direct Primary Care is great but it is not easy!! It is not for everyone. You have to be consistent, determined, and willing to work for it. And Tom Brady is right. There are no shortcuts!

I have seen unbelievably lazy people post on FB things like:

“Does anyone have any tips on starting a DPC practice?”

OMFG.

There are books, videos, posts, conferences, and websites out there. If you can’t even bother to do the work of this research then the probabilities of your success are low.

I’ll talk more about that next week at the DPC Summit in Dallas.
