The only metric that insurance companies never measure is TWP or Time With Patients. Why? Because they don’t care. Employed doctors never have enough time with their patients. That’s why they get upset with the scenario as described in the meme above. But Direct Primary Care doctors DO have time with their patients. They usually spend 30-60 minutes with them. They also see their patients regularly which allows them to get to know them personally. Sure, you still have funny conversations like the above image but it is rare and never gets you mad. Why? Because you can actually laugh about it….with the patient.
