The Greeneville Sun announced the opening of Veritas Family Healthcare in Greeneville, TN. On June 2, Veritas Family Healthcare, formerly DirectMD Greeneville and before that, PATMOS EmergiClinic, hosted an Open House.

Dr. Robert Berry began PATMOS EmergiClinic in 2001 (which emerged into Direct MD) and ran it before passing away in December in 2020. Blair Berry, Robert’s wife, had sold the practice to Dr. Dustin Clark and his wife, Lauren in October 2021. This Open House also served as a retirement party for Blair who had worked in the practice, and many well-wishers turned out.

The Clarks have run a similar model free market medicine clinic in Johnson City, about 30 minutesy, for eight years called Black Bag Family Health Care. Dr. Scott Denham, an experienced emergency room physician, is Veritas’s in-house doctor.

I have been working as an Emergency Medicine Doctor for almost six years.  I want to transition to this unique model of practice where I have a chance to treat my patients without outside interferences, spending adequate time with each of them, and being able to treat the whole patient.
