The Morning Show of Wyoming News Now recently interviewed Nathan Ker, DO and Emmi Kerr, RN about the opening of their practice, Rise Direct Primary Care in Casper, Wyoming. Like many DPC practices, Nathan and Emmi are not only business partners but they are also life partners (husband and wife.)

On the Morning Show, the Ker team talked about the benefits of a DPC practice, such as providing a great patient experience, providing better medical care and offering transparent pricing to all patients, be it those with or without traditional health insurance. However, the aspect to having a DPC clinic that is most appealing to them is being able to build life-long relationships with their patients.

With the addition of Rise Direct Primary Care, there are now seven DPC practices in the state of Wyoming, which is pretty impressive seeing as Wyoming is the least populated US state with a estimated population below 600,000 and a negative growth rate of 0.60% per year. It just goes to show that DPC can thrive everywhere.

Fun Trivia Fact: Vermont is the second least populated state in the US followed by North Dakota, Alaska and South Dakota.
