Dr. Kimberly Rogers is a triple board -certified Internal Medicine, Lifestyle Medicine and Obesity Medicine physician. Born and raised in Anguilla, she moved to the U.S in 2003 where she obtained a bachelor of science degree in Neurophysiology at the University of Maryland, followed by her medical degree at Sidney Kimmel Medical College in Philadelphia, PA.

She completed her internal medicine residency in 2014 at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. Her experience treating a medically complex patient population highlighted the importance of a holistic approach to addressing the root cause of illness; this inspired her to pursue additional training and obtain certification by the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine in 2019, and American Board of Obesity Medicine in 2023.

Dr. Rogers began her primary care journey in Richmond, VA, where in 2017 she received a “Best Bedside Manner Award” by a local health magazine. In 2018 she returned to Philadelphia where she continued to practice, finally relocating to Delaware in 2020 with her family.

As a primary care physician taking care of medically complex patients, I quickly realized that the traditional healthcare system -that favors quick visits, large patient panels and a reactive approach to health -was failing patients. After receiving training and certification in lifestyle medicine and obesity medicine, I realized that the type of care I needed to provide (longer visits to get to root cause of heart, more frequent interactions, greater patient accessibility)simply isn’t possible in the traditional healthcare model. When I learned about the DPC model 4 years ago, it immediately clicked that this was the way I wanted to practice medicine. It feels great to be able to provide full spectrum primary care, weight management and lifestyle counseling to my patients whereas before, I’d have to refer them out to someone else because I simply didn’t have the time.

In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her husband, a local neurosurgeon, and her two small children. They enjoy traveling and exploring local fairs and parks together.

Congratulations to Dr. Rogers. Keep us posted on your progress.
