Dr. Zachary West was born and raised north of Tiffin. He is a third generation resident of Seneca County and a graduate of Old Fort Local High School (Old Fort, Ohio). Dr. West took part in the Ohio Post-Secondary Enrollment Options program while still in high school and attended Terra State Community College (Fremont, Ohio) completing an Associate of Science in both pre-allied health and natural & biological sciences.

Dr. West continued his studies at Youngstown State University (Youngstown, Ohio) where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology. He next attended the Northwest Ohio Consortium for Public Health and graduated with a Master of Public Health.

Dr. West attended medical school at the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (Athens, Ohio) and completed the clinical portion of his studies at Firelands Regional Medical Center (Sandusky, Ohio). In medical school, Dr. West was awarded the distinction of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Honors Student. Dr. West graduated with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (“DO”) and became a licensed physician in the State of Ohio.

Dr. West completed residency training at Fairfield Medical Center (Lancaster, Ohio) and during his final year of residency was promoted to “Chief Resident”. He is board certified in internal medicine through the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. West pursued additional specialty training in osteopathic manipulative medicine by completing a fellowship in Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center (Bangor, Maine). Dr. Zachary West, DO, MPH, FACOI has returned to Seneca County and has opened Ohio Institute of Osteopathic Medicine in Tiffin, Ohio offering adult primary care, osteopathic manipulative medicine, and aesthetic medicine services.

I am excited to bring a holistic approach to medical care by being the only osteopathic neuromusculoskeletal medicine specialist in the area. The closest physicians providing similar services practice as far away as East Lansing, Michigan, and Athens, Ohio.

Joining him in the practice are J. Dian West, RN, MBA, LMT brings a career of multiple skills, knowledge and expertise to the Ohio Institute of Osteopathic Medicine, and Ella, a certified therapy dog who brings something special to enhance the health and well-being of patients.
