The Los Alamos Daily Post recently dd a story about Satori Healing Infusion Center, which will be expanding into Direct Primary Care in addition to its other services. Satori, a Japanese Buddhist word meaning sudden enlightenment or flash of insight, has been providing a variety of nutrient infusions and IV Ketamine therapy by referral, but now Satori will also be providing Direct Primary Care to the residents of Los Alamos, NM.

Husband-and-wife team Patrick Martin, MD and Tracy Martin, PA-C and Kristin Barnes, RN are the team of Satori. The idea to expand Satori was born out of a many conversations regarding the needs of the Los Alamos community.

One of our primary beliefs is the need to stay slim and be able to pass on the lower operating costs to our patients. Medical care needs to be more affordable. A big way to be able to keep our staff’s focus on you, the patient and costs low is to start cutting out middle men.

Satori Healing will continue providing the same services it alway had but will be adding on Direct Primary Care in the Fall. In addition, Dr. Rick Martin will also be providing home visits. After being encouraged by an old friend of his from residency, Dr. Joel Rosen who, with Dr.Stewart Anderson, operates Santa Fe Mobile MD in Santa Fe, NM, Patrick decided to provide a similar service in Las Alamos.

As usual, here is another example of one DPC doc helping another. That’s what it’s all about! We look forward to hearing updates from Satori in the Fall.
