Jacinta Anyaoku, MD has recently opened her new practice Hibiscus Health and Wellness in Katy, Texas. Dr. Anyaoku is board-certified in family medicine and has received additional training in integrative medicine, lifestyle medicine, and aesthetic medicine. Clinical interests include women’s health, dermatologic procedures, and  preventive care. In addition to the many skills she brings to her practice, the most important one is the connection to her patients.

My favorite part about being a family physician is the relationships I build with my patients. With direct primary care, that relationship goes a step further. Instead of working for an insurance company or hospital system, I am now working for you. You and I will work closely together to help you achieve optimal health and wellness. You will have direct access to me as your physician — no more long holds and unanswered voicemails. Your health is my top priority. Let’s get started on this journey together. I’m looking forward to working with you.

Why did Dr. Anyaoku choose the name Hibiscus Health and Wellness?

In many cultures, the hibiscus flower is used for medicinal purposes. This small, yet powerful flower is rich in immune-strengthening properties.

The hibiscus flower has also been known to aid in managing high blood pressure and high cholesterol, as well as deliver beneficial antioxidants for total body health. Many cultures have found hibiscus tea to be a secret super supplement when it comes to herbal healing. These properties embody our goal for achieving wellness.

Hibiscus flowers also represent simplicity, and we believe healthcare should be just that—simple. No wait times or insurance hassle. Just a direct relationship with our patients to help them achieve optimal health.

As we mentioned yesterday in DPC News, studying other practice’s websites can be a very useful tool in helping you create or sprucing up your own website. Hibiscus Health and Wellness is fine example of what to do. Dr. Anyaoku’s website is clean, clear and it provides all the information a prospective patient would need in understanding what the practice is all about. Most importantly, Dr. Anyaoku clearly emphasizes the core message about DPC.

Reimagine healthcare where care is truly at the forefront of every interaction with your provider. No insurance. No pre-qualifications. No barriers.

Simply a doctor who truly cares.

Great job Dr. Anyaoku. It just goes to show that you don’t always need a marketing team. We can all learn from each other.
