Andrew Awad, MD embarked on a remarkable journey in the field of medicine. Having completed his medical education at Alexandria Medical School in Alexandria, Egypt, he ventured across continents, relocating with his family to the bustling state of Texas. There, he immersed himself in the world of cardiovascular research, showcasing an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a commitment to enhancing healthcare. His path eventually led him to the prestigious Mount Sinai South Nassau, Oceanside, NY,  where he completed a residency in Family Medicine. 

After finishing his residency, Dr. Awad’s journey in the medical field continued to flourish. He took the next significant step by joining the esteemed Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai as an associate physician. This new chapter allowed him to blend his extensive medical knowledge and practical experience gained during his residency with cutting-edge research and patient care opportunities at the renowned institution.

However, driven by a strong desire to give back to the community where it all began, Dr. Awad made the heartfelt decision to return to Texas. There, he aspired to apply his expertise and dedication to improving the lives of those in his community. With unwavering commitment, he founded Grace Health Direct Primary Care, a testament to his vision of accessible and compassionate healthcare.

I started Grace Health DPC because I believe in a different kind of healthcare—one centered on genuine connection, personalized care, and reclaiming the joy of practicing medicine. The insurance-based model left me feeling unfulfilled, unable to prioritize my patients’ needs or achieve a meaningful work-life balance. With Direct Primary Care, I can focus on what truly matters: forging lasting relationships with my patients, addressing every concern with care and attention, and making a real difference in their lives.
