As a medical student, Lilian White, MD, ABFM had the enormous blessing of working with some innovative, brilliant, and whole-hearted physicians. They eventually inspired her to become a family physician, and the daydreaming began for the practice she would one day open. Now the daydream is a reality.

Empowered Health in Rocky River, Ohio is the culmination of hours and months and years of dreaming about what an ideal medical practice could look like. She has taken so many of the best pieces of the many physicians who were so kind to share their practices and teachings with me along the way. This clinic is a place where patients will feel seen and heard in a comfortable, unrushed way. A place where healing is promoted and suffering may be relieved.

I love getting to know my patients and their values, goals, and dreams so I can personalize their care more and more over time. My approach is holistic, making the best use of my conventional medical training, my interest in functional medicine and complementary approaches to care.

Family medicine and primary care lend themselves to building lasting relationships. I am an advocate for my patients and enjoy being able to coordinate so many aspects of their care. While certainly specialist care is needed at times, I love that as a family physician it’s part of my role to see the big picture and relate all of a patient’s conditions to one another and in the context of their life.

Being a physician is a joy and honor for me.
