The Durango Herald announced the opening of Durango Primary Care in Durango, CO. Adam Owens, MD, formerly of Mercy Family Medicine and Centura Health, opened his new primary care practice on Oct. 3, and he is joined in the office by certified medical assistant Bex Graham.Dr. Owens has over 10 years of experience in Family Medicine. Since 2014, he has been practicing in Durango, providing high-quality adult internal medicine, pediatrics and women’s health.  He also has special interest in acute/urgent care and sports medicine.  Prior to founding Durango Primary Care, he served as the team primary doctor for Fort Lewis College athletics. Now in his new practice, he is excited to continue to provide medical care  without the distractions and rushed visits of a traditional primary care practice. 

Dr. Owens lives in Durango with his wife and three boys.  He volunteers coaching youth lacrosse and in his spare time enjoys biking, skiing, and fly fishing.
