Abide Health: Local, Direct, Family Care in Louisville, Colorado
Dr. Shaw Kuster’s dream had always been to practice broad scope family medicine – caring for infants, pregnant people, seniors, and everyone in between. That dream brought her family of three children, their dog Nelson, and her very supportive husband, to Louisville, Colorado. After a stint in private practice, she found herself and her patients increasingly frustrated by the constraints that health insurance places on the physician-patient relationship. That’s when she learned about DPC and decided to open her own DPC practice, Abide Health.
Coming from an independent fee for service practice, I am excited to transition to DPC in order to have more time with patients, a greater focus on healthy lifestyle practices for myself and for patients, and increased freedom in the care I provide.
Her goal is for Abide Health to be a place of community where patients feel at home, and where real healthcare is accessible, affordable, and stress free. Abide Health is built with the patient in mind. Dr. Kuster offers the comfort of small town family medicine, the convenience of same day in person or virtual visits, and a trusting relationship between patient and doctor.
When not at the office, Dr. Kuster loves gardening, taking her kids out on “Mama dates”, playing percussion in the Boulder Concert Band, and discovering new places in and around Louisville, Colorado.
