Su-Anne M. Hammond, DO was born and raised in Maine, She is a “true Mainer” and a board-certified family medicine physician with over twenty years of experience caring for families in Southern Maine.

She earned her medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a rotating internship at Mercy Hospital. Dr. Hammond then went on to finish a family medicine residency through UNECOM and Southern Maine Medical Center.

After 20 years in traditional primary care with the past several years in leadership I realized fixing the system was not only not happening but in many ways, the fight was getting harder. I decided to open my own DPC to go back to having a direct and personal relationship with my patients.

As an osteopathic physician, she has always prioritized treating the whole person with a focus on preventive care. She is passionate about educating her patients and assisting families through the intricacies of all the stages of life.

Beyond medicine, Dr. Hammond enjoys spending time with her family. With her husband Andy, they raised their four children in Windham and have spent countless hours on fields, ice and courts coaching and cheering them on through their many endeavors. In rare moments of downtime, you might find her engrossed in a book or crocheting something fun.
