It was called Primary Care23: See the Possibilities and all I saw was big corporations, DINOs, ivory tower idiots, and private equity pontificating and bloviating about the future.

Join Primary Care for America’s highly anticipated second-annual hybrid event! Building on last year’s momentum, we will bring together leading healthcare thought leaders, innovators and experts to discuss:

  • How to bridge primary care from the present to the future
  • Evolving and strengthening the primary care workforce to meet the growing demand
  • Exploring the impact and importance of primary care
  • The massive role that primary care plays in promoting and facilitating access to care
  • Transforming health care delivery through innovation

And what about Direct Primary Care?

Yup, they got it covered with a DINO represented by Everside Health!

Everside Health is one of the nation’s largest providers of direct primary and mental health care—Improving outcomes with tech-enabled predictive care, reducing costs, and providing holistic solutions, in person and virtually, for employees, patients, and their families

Remember, Everside Health only lost $23 million over the last two years so there’s that. For those that need an explanation for a DINO please click here (it talks about their relation to syphilis).

I continue to be amazed that these conferences even exist as NOTHING has come from any of them in decades. Primary care is failing. The ONLY consistent theme that all the panelists are secretly hiding is that they are trying to figure a way to replace doctors with nondoctors.

And the only representation of Direct Primary Care is Everside???? Why not someone from the DPC Alliance? Someone who can speak about the ONLY success story for physicians: The small, independent Direct Primary Care doctors.

Nah, too easy. Instead they let the DINOs bully their way in and bastardize DPC. It’s sad.
