ARCS Health is Asking Me to Buy The Practice I Don’t Own

I have previously written about Jon Roosevelt and ARCS Health a little while back. Dan Swartz, MD, who bought my clinic 5 years ago, was pitched a letter and a supposed meeting. He never responded, but I was able to share this private equity crap here.
Check out the letter above that he sent me.
I say that “he” sent it, but this is all AI-driven garbage. They use it to scrape the web and put some personal stuff in there. You can see he mentions my books, etc., but nothing about DPC News, which would be relevant since I am using it to criticize the hell out of him. He puts in the wife’s fingertip episode in there again as well. Nice touch. Here’s the kicker: I have been retired for five years and have mentioned this publicly many times. I guess the AI platform he uses never caught that.
WARNING: YOU WILL GET THESE LETTERS AS WELL!! DON’T BE FOOLED, EVEN IF YOU ARE SOON RETIRING. DON’T SELL OUT!
Venture capitalists throw out a huge net and see if they catch anything. They want to acquire as many DPC practices as possible, then eliminate the doctors, replace them with mid-level providers, and subsequently sell the practices to a larger organization.
This destroys the concept of Direct Primary Care.

Doug, I thought you said you retired from practice? I retired at 64, five years ago and still get solicitations for practices and jobs. In fact I answered a phone call one day and it was a head-hunter with a job offer. I gently replied I retired 5.5 years ago, relinquished all my licenses, board certification and “numbers” and am never going back. I asked them to get the word out I’m done with medicine. Don’t miss it one bit either.
