Which is Worse: Fast Food or Healthcare?

Which is Worse: Fast Food or Healthcare?
I was on a road trip recently.
Had to make a quick pit stop and decided it was a good time for a snack too.
I looked around at my choices:
Mc Ds, Cook Out, or a minimart snack (for me, that consists of peanut M&M’s and a diet Coke) Blah ~ no good option.
As I got back in the car snacking on those damn M&Ms,
I thought about how healthcare is just like fast food. Terrible for your health.
And I can’t really determine which is worse…Can you?
Quick stop = Mc Ds.
Quick fix = Urgent Care
No nutritious value = french fries
No medical value = a 7-minute office visit
Little culinary expertise = food served in a box or plastic wrapper
Little medical expertise = care given by some provider who doesn’t know your history
Empty. Unsatisfied. Poor quality.
Fast food & healthcare.
You don’t need a PhD or an MD to see they both are not good. If people want something better, more wholesome and satisfying, it will require time & effort.
So let’s make America HEALTHY again.
(No~ you don’t have to like RFK to say or agree with that sentiment.)
We shouldn’t be serving up McHealthcare.
We should be serving up something delicious and nutritious.
Something like … Direct Primary Care.
Ahh yes.
Yummy. And good for you.

“We shouldn’t be serving up McHealthcare.” Love it!! Literally had tears from laughing at that line, Amy! Delicious and nutritious DPC. That’s what we’re serving! Celebrated 6 years yesterday!
CONGRATULATIONS Jill. So great ~ 6 years of DELICIOUS & NUTRITIOUS DPC!!
I love this comparison! The urgent cares and the IV fluid franchises are definitely more dangerous than fast food.
