DPC Continues to Grow in Fort Worth, Texas

Forth Worth Report recently wrote an article about the growth of Direct Primary Care in the Forth Worth, Texas area. It was reported that In February 2024, there were approximately 20 direct primary care practices in Tarrant County. As of Dec. 19, there were 24 in the area, according to DPC Frontier, an organization that tracks the number of membership-based care clinics across the country.

One DPC practice that was highlighted in the article was Mila Family Health. Dr. Anatoli Berezovsky opened Mila Family Health in August 2023 as a home visit direct primary care practice. In November 2024, he opened a brick-and-mortar clinic on Forest Park Boulevard in Fort Worth. The practice’s monthly fees range from $25 to $100 per person, depending on age. He felt stuck in the “traditional” form of medicine that required seeing dozens of patients in a day, leading to a disconnect between patients and their doctors, Berezovsky said.

“There’s just so many misaligned incentives,” “Patients wanted something. I wanted to be able to provide for them, but the (insurance) payer kind of dictated how we practiced and what we did.”

Other Forth Worth DPC practices mentioned in the article were Mid Cities Direct Primary Care, launched by Dr. Kara Farley and Enlightened Health Direct founded by Dr. Alex Vilaythongin.
