Concentrate, an online magazine focusing on stories in Washtenaw County, Michigan, recently highlighted Beyond Primary Care.

Beyond Primary Care started as a one-man show by Dr. Jeff O’Boyle in 2018 when he opened with just one exam room and two patients. Things have certainly changed since then. Today, Beyond Primary Care has about 400 patients and Dr. O’Boyle has added a new physician, Dr. Janelle Lindow, to the practice. But that’s not all. The practice has even moved to a new location to better serve its patients. The new practice now has 4 exam rooms and new features such as a new pill counter, which will help with the efficiency of their on-site pharmacy. Dr. O’Boyle sees even more possible expansion in the future, perhaps possibly adding behavioral health therapy and dietary counseling services to the practice.

However, throughout all the new changes, Dr. O’Boyle and Dr. Lindow , always keep their focus on the mission of the practice.

Our mission to provide affordable and accessible health care that is personalized to the folks of Ann Arbor, and to the communities beyond Ann Arbor, will always remain the same, O’Boyle says. It’s what I remind myself of every time that I’m thinking of an update and improvement to the clinic.

It’s nice to see that while a DPC practice may grow and change, it never loses its focus on why it all started in the first place.
